Educational Philosophy
At Excellence Academy, we believe every child is a trust from Allah. Our goal is to nurture both the mind and the heart. Students are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions, and love learning, while also building strong Islamic character and manners.
We create a caring environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported. Teachers model kindness, honesty, and responsibility so that students grow into confident Muslims who serve their families, community, and ummah.
Our core academic program follows the Virginia Standards of Learning. In addition, we integrate Arabic, Quran, and Islamic Studies throughout the school day to nurture both strong minds and strong faith.
Grade Levels
After 5th grade, boys and girls learn in separate classrooms.

Islamic Studies & Faith
Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies are an important part of each student’s schedule at Excellence Academy. In these classes, students develop their Quran recitation, build Arabic language skills, and learn about Seerah, the Prophets, and Islamic manners. Lessons are age-appropriate and encourage love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
Faith as Part of Daily Life
Faith is part of our daily school life. Students pray together, recite daily duas, and celebrate Islamic events and holidays. We want students to feel connected to their faith and proud of their Muslim identity. Our goal is for students to leave each day feeling closer to their faith and proud of their Muslim identity.
